Biography
Occasionally a band comes along that's so idolised by its contemporaries, yet possesses such talent that can't be copied. Art Brut are this band for the post Brit-Pop generation, genre-less and lone-standing with Eddie Argos, inarguably one of the most British, artful lyricists alive, delivering austere vocals in a manner that's one breath of melody up from spoken word, like a hypnotist reaching inside of us to say the most astute, personal things, we're not eloquent enough to convey. Their album Art Brut vs Satan which took twelve days with Frank Black as producer, has put them in serious danger of betraying their own name; Art Brut will, in time, revolutionise the mainstream.
